Plans coming together
Maggie says....Thank God for wedding coordinators!
Invitations:
Our wonderful family friend Jen has designed a beautiful invitation for us.  They'll be sent out in a few weeks.  To help us through this process, please enter your address in the 'Address book' page so that we send the invitations to the right place.

Reception update:

There's been a lot of going back and forth throughout this wedding planning process.  We originally thought of having a reception in Toronto next February; but, after a lot of reflecting, we've decided not to have a reception in Toronto anymore.  Maybe on our 10th anniversary, we'll throw a big party at home/or have a Hawaii re-union?

Since we're not having the Toronto reception, we're making the wedding luncheon even better than originally planned.   We're currently working with our wedding coordinator to organize a real fun experience, hopefully the resort is able to accomodate us.   We're going to keep it a surprise for the guests as it's gonna be a luncheon/reception one may never have experienced at a wedding before.

We're also thinking of doing a live broadcast of our wedding ceremony for those who can't attend and would still like to be part of the day.

Wedding/vacation Attire:
We went on a productive shopping trip to Michigan last month.  I got the shoes I wanted for an awesome price,  and a bunch of swim suits for $7.99 (CK, DKNY, Nautica, Michael Kors etc.) for myself and my sisters.  Has anyone ever seen a price like this before for swim suits?  When I found out about the sale, I only had 30 minutes before the store closed, which is not enough time to try much.  We had to return the next day to take advantage of the deal, I don't think I'll see this kind of price again.

We also got 95% of Jenning's wedding attire.  When we originally bought his suit, the stylist was suggesting different colours/ways of wearing the pocket square.  We took a look at the price of 1 silk pocket sqaure [~6" x6" of fabric], it was $50 CAD, I thought that I should consider quitting my job and start making pocket squares.  Considering that the pocket square just sits in the pocket and not actually used for anything, the designers are making a steal.

Hair & Make-up:
I was working with our wedding coordinator to arrange for hair & makeup for 8 people.  Since our ceremony is at 09:30 am, our appointment apparently has to start at 04:00 am to accomodate everyone.  I am super glad that Hawaii is 5-6 hours behind Eastern time zone, so it'll feel like 09:00 or 10:00 am to us.

Squishy
Sounds like an awesome idea! (the extra-special luncheon - and having a live feed) Let us know the details of the webcast - it'll be a wedding I won't have to leave if the new little one (not yet here, but soon) is crying. ;)
